The Brentwood Police Department was organized in 1916 with a total force of two men. Today, it its one of the most modern and up to date police forces in the region providing superior services to the citizens of Brentwood, rain or shine, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

 

Crime Prevention Unit
The duty and objective of the Crime Prevention Unit is to provide crime control programs for teh community designed to heighten the awareness of crime, educate citizens about ways they can reduce the chances of their becoming a victim, and encouraging the community to work with the police towards the reduction of criminal activity.

BEWARE: Brentwood Uses Trained K9 Police Dogs To Protect Our Community

The K9 unit has been in service in Brentwood since 11/99. During his career he has over $900,000 in cash and drug finds. He has also located 5 lost children and one elderly person with Alzheimer's. He also has 14 street felony apprehensions, the most of any dog in Wester Pennsylvania.
